Date Time Weather Summary Sky Conditions Summary
2016-01-01 19:10 temperature = 32.9 F
The sky mostly covered with clouds but there are a few open patches.
rating = 1
Light pollution degrades the open patches to the point where only the brightest stars are visible. The moon could probably be observed if it was up (it isn't)
2016-01-03 20:30 temperature = 24.6 F
The sky is completely cloudy. It is lightly snowing.
rating = 0
No objects are visible.
2016-01-04 19:25 temperature = 6.6 F
The sky is partly cloudy. I estimate only about 30% of the sky is visible.
rating = 1.5
The bright stars are visible in the clear areas. The basic outlines of some constellations can be seen. However, there appears to be some haze even in the clear regions that, together with the light pollution, inhibit observing. It's also quite cold tonight.
2016-01-08 18:45 temperature = 33.6 F
The sky is completely cloudy.
rating = 0
Only Capella is barely visible. No other stars or objects are visible.
2016-01-13 20:00 temperature = 17.0 F
The sky is mostly clear with some clouds in the south and southwest. A thin haze partially obscured the north, but only just above the horizon.
rating = 3
Various classes of objects visible, including reasonable deep sky observing over most of the sky. The thin waxing crescent moon is not a significant problem (and, anyway, was partly covered by clouds). The general light pollution of my location prevented a higher rating than would be expected given the weather conditions.
